Divine Obedience Doesn’t Always Feel Good
Obedience is always a choice, but to be divinely obedient to what your spirit is guiding you to is on another level of discipline. What is attached to that obedience is purely reliant on your faith to not know what will come from it.
It is a narrow path that doesn’t make sense. It takes focus to not be distracted by what everyone else is doing and to steer the course that God has you on. It may look completely different from any path someone else has walked because God desires to do a new thing in you.
The weight can sometimes be heavy but remember his yoke is light. Your Holy Spirit guidance knows all things and if you allow it to do what it was created to do, your submitted obedience releases that weight you weren’t intended to carry.
In actuality our thoughts create the weight. This is why it’s so important to continuously renew our minds so that we may walk in the new thing God is doing within us. Because if we don’t, the enemy attacks the mind to make us believe what isn’t true, even when our circumstances make it look like those thoughts are true. In all honesty, it becomes a reality if we lay in it and speak that power over our lives.
There is a level of accountability we have to take on to break free from the cycle we’ve trapped ourselves into.
The solution.
Stay connected and seek Him everyday of your life. You need the daily bread to continue to become who you truly are. No matter how old you are, if you’re still here, God is not done with you yet and it is your responsibility (no one else’s) to grow daily within Him - not what the world says you should grow into.
